The Journey
This workshop+tour is designed for those who prefer a late pick up.We pick you up at your hotel/site at 12:30 pm and our first visit will be diving into the depths of a Cenote to uncover the mysteries of age-old caverns.
Then we will explore one of the most stunning lagoons in motorboat, in the Sian Kaan Natural Reserve Biosphere (Unesco World Heritage Site) where you can find a wide variety of marine ecosystem.
CENOTE
We will go deep into a natural pit called a cenote, created by the collapse of limestone bedrock that exposes groundwater underneath.
These unique formations are among the most beautiful natural wonders one can find in the Mayan Riviera.
BIRDWATCHING IN SIAN KAÁN NATURAL RESERVE BIOSPHERE
You can find a wide variety of marine ecosystem and where is possible to find reptiles such as crocodiles, lizards, iguanas and sea turtles. It ́s also the habitat of the last wildlife manatees, an endangered species, and the biggest mammal in the Yucatan Peninsula.This is a magical place and best spot for bird watching; frigates, pelicans, boobies, cormorants, herons, egrets, ospreys and more. You will visit the mangroves and understand the importance of the wetlands. They are among the most productive and biologically complex ecosystems on earth. Mangroves provide nursery grounds for fish and a food source for monkeys, tree-climbing crabs and a huge variety for birds.

Know before you book
- Children under 8 are not allowed
- Children from 8 to 15 have a special rate.
- If you have a heart condition, you should not participate.
- If you are pregnant, may not take part.
- Maximum group size is 6 people.
- You must be able to walk on unpaved or uneven terrain.
- If you are prone to motion sickness, please take necessary precaution.
